The Human Touch In The Digital Age

There's no doubt about it. We live in the ever changing digital age.

We can't go a week without new innovations designed to help businesses boost their reach and rise further to the top.

However, from what I observe, some people tend to forget about the most important aspect of business which has been around as long as we have.

The human element.

It seems most business owners would rather focus on data, charts and ideas from folks halfway across the world whom have never worked a day in the industry they claim to be an expert in.

What may have worked for one company, may not work for another.

The human interaction is still highly crucial in every business model if they wish to succeed.

I encourage you to look at the story of Andy Frisella and his companies Supplement Superstores and 1st Phorm International.

Both companies started from absolute scratch, and in Supplement Superstores' first week of sales they made under $200 in sales back in 1999.

Now, 18 years later, both companies have risen to the top generating over $100 million in annual revenue, all built through their customer interaction on all social media platforms. No automated responses. No customer service who could care less. They're real people producing real results, changing real lives.

I'm not knocking data or research, I'm simply saying that the human element is still a vital role in the digital world, and always will be. Whether it be five years from now, or fifty.
